UNIMAC-GHERRI at Cibus Tec 2026: integrated technology for food packaging

CIBUS TEC 2026 · PARMA, OCTOBER 27–30 · HALL 5, STAND E046

From filling to capping, through to end-of-line operations and digital data management: at Cibus Tec 2026, UNIMAC-GHERRI presents a range of technologies designed to meet the needs of the food industry, with a focus on reliability, hygiene, flexibility and process integration.
The goal is to go beyond the single machine, offering solutions able to communicate within an increasingly automated and connected production environment

Efficiency and control throughout the packaging process: one line, two major innovations

The heart of the stand will be a line dedicated to primary packaging, bringing together several UNIMAC-GHERRI technologies in a single production configuration.

The MS8 flowmeter filler is designed for packaging liquid and semi-viscous food products, including edible oils, juices, sauces, tomato products, condiments and liquid food preparations.
Downstream of filling, the new GG200 automatically caps glass jars and bottles with Twist-Off, Pry-Twist and Pry-Off closures.
The machine represents the next generation of UNIMAC-GHERRI's linear capping technology, featuring a completely renewed structure and solutions developed to meet requirements for hygiene, food safety, reliability and ease of maintenance.
The extensive use of stainless steel, integrated safety guarding and new mechanical solutions also facilitate format changeovers and help reduce component wear.
With the latest automation platform and advanced cap-handling systems, the GG200 reaches speeds of up to 12,000 containers per hour.
The line will be completed by the GG850 cap feeder and the GG670 vacuum detector, showing in a single configuration the full path from filling to capping and closure inspection.

BOXA: robotic automation for end-of-line operations

Alongside the complete line, the stand will feature BOXA, a compact, standalone solution for automating case packing operations.
Developed in collaboration with OMRON, BOXA integrates case forming, product loading and sealing within a single system, thanks to a two-axis delta robot driven by brushless servo motors.
Electronic adjustments and format flexibility allow the machine to quickly adapt to different packaging requirements. Productivity reaches up to 1,500 cases per hour, making BOXA a solution particularly suited to high-capacity food lines.
The freestanding configuration also allows visitors to directly appreciate its compactness and autonomy as an end-of-line automation solution.

MORE: the digital layer of the process

Completing the technology offering will be MORE – Monitoring, Optimization, Reporting, Evaluation, the digital platform that turns production data into information to support decision-making.
Real-time monitoring, performance analysis, data collection and predictive maintenance help increase process visibility and support an approach geared toward continuous improvement in production efficiency.

From the single machine to the complete line

UNIMAC-GHERRI's presence at Cibus Tec 2026 tells a precise story: from filling to capping, through to end-of-line operations and digital data management, every technology on display is designed to work within a complete line built for the food industry, not as a standalone component.

The machines are engineered from the outset to work in sequence on food products and processes, with interfaces already built for interconnection. The result is a line able to follow the product from filling through to shipping, with a single specialized partner for food packaging.
